The TGI Lamborghini Team by GRT is once again taking on the DTM challenge in 2025. The team from Knittelfeld in Austria, which is supported by Lamborghini Squadra Corse, is fielding two Lamborghini Huracán GT3 EVO2s in the gleaming gold TGI design. The two cars will be driven by Lamborghini factory drivers Luca Engstler and Jordan Pepper.

Since joining the DTM in 2022, GRT has won three races, finished on the podium eight times, achieved six fastest laps and one pole position. Last season, Engstler alone secured two victories in one of the world’s most prestigious GT3 series with wins at Oschersleben and the finale at Hockenheim. The 24-year-old German, who will start his third DTM season in 2025, also claimed a podium as well as a fastest lap and achieved the eighth most leading laps of the previous year.

Team-mate Pepper has been a well-known figure in GT3 racing for many years and can look back on several championship titles and impressive successes such as a victory in the Bathurst 12-hour race. Last season, the Lamborghini factory driver finished runner-up in the Fanatec GT World Challenge powered by AWS Endurance Cup with GRT and made his debut in the DTM together with the team at the Sachsenring. The 28-year-old South African is now set for his first full DTM season.

Strong partners for GRT in 2025

GRT can once again rely on strong partners in the 2025 season. With the support of the TGI AG, LIQUI MOLY and Grapos Softdrinks, the Austrian team is aiming for a top position in the DTM championship.
The Liechtenstein-based TGI AG is an internationally trend-setting company that is defining new standards in gold trading. In addition to immediate purchase, it offers innovative contract models that utilise coordinated discount structures tailored to the term and delivery date of the gold bars, causing sensation in the industry.

LIQUI MOLY is Germany’s most popular brand of motor oil and, as a full-range supplier, offers over 4000 products from motor oils, additives, gear oils and many other products for every vehicle. Since 1957, the company has been developing and producing exclusively in Germany for the international market with currently more than 150 partner countries.

Grapos Softdrinks has been dedicated to the production of postmix drinks and the development of the necessary technologies for generations. High-quality raw materials and perfect processing under the highest hygiene standards are just some of the attributes that make the Austrian company currently the most modern syrup producer.

DTM: More successful and sustainable than ever

The DTM is one of the most prestigious GT3 racing series in the world and once again lived up to its reputation last season. Almost half a million spectators watched the thrilling races at the track, more than 200 million followed the action on TV or web TV and almost the same number of people got in touch with the DTM’s social media channels. In addition, the streaming service in German and English on YouTube was extremely popular. This service will continue in 2025, and fans can also look forward to live coverage of all races on German TV channel ProSieben free-to-air.

The DTM is also using its huge media impact to fulfil its pioneering role in sustainable and climate-friendly motorsport. From 2025, the series will use a synthetic, fossil-free fuel. It is certified by the FIA and reduces CO2 emissions by 75 per cent.

The new fuel will be used for the first time from 25 to 27 April 2025 at the season opener in the Motorsport Arena Oschersleben. The weekends at the Lausitzring and the Formula 1 circuit in Zandvoort in the Netherlands will follow in May and June respectively. The Norisring, which attracted more than 110,000 spectators in 2024, is on the agenda from 4 to 6 July. The Nürburgring and Sachsenring, two further traditional circuits, follow in August before GRT’s big home event at the Red Bull Ring from 12 to 14 September. The season traditionally ends on the first weekend in October at the Hockenheimring.

Gottfried Grasser, Team Principal of GRT: „I am immensely pleased that we are able to start our fourth year in the DTM. With Luca and Jordan, we are in a great position on the driver side. It is the first time that we are contesting the full DTM season with two Lamborghini factory drivers. Luca proved how strong he is with his two victories last year, and the same applies to Jordan, who impressed us in the GT World Challenge and in his guest appearance at the Sachsenring. With our strong overall package, I definitely expect us to regularly finish in the top five – we’ll gladly accept more. I think every DTM competitor wakes up in the morning and wants to be champion. But for now, we are focusing on the first six races, we want to collect good and solid points there and then we’ll see what happens. I would like to take this opportunity to say a huge thank you to our sponsors the TGI AG, LIQUI MOLY and Grapos Softdrinks. I would especially like to thank the TGI AG, which is providing the basic design of our two golden cars for the first time this year. We can’t take for granted to be able to work with such great partners and to be given their trust. With our participation in the DTM, we can offer them a constantly developing and growing platform. The spectator figures on site and in front of the screen are an impressive proof of this. Furthermore, by introducing this innovative, renewable fuel, the DTM is making itself a flagship for the future and demonstrating an urgently needed alternative for the automotive industry.“

Luca Engstler: „I’m delighted to be starting another DTM season with the TGI Lamborghini Team by GRT. Becoming a works driver for such a great brand as Lamborghini makes me incredibly proud and happy. I would like to thank all my partners, but above all Grasser Racing, for the opportunities and support. None of this would have been possible otherwise. I am now looking forward to an incredibly exciting programme and obviously hope that we can build on last year’s victory.“

Jordan Pepper: „I’m extremely proud to be able to contest the entire DTM season with the TGI Lamborghini Team by GRT. It’s a dream come true for me! I would like to thank Gottfried Grasser, his entire team, all partners and sponsors and of course Lamborghini Squadra Corse for this opportunity. Last year, I was able to get a small taste of what it’s like during my guest start and knew from that moment that I would do everything I could to become a regular driver in the DTM. I am now very motivated and can hardly wait for the season to start in Oschersleben.“
