The GRT Grasser Racing Team supported by Automobili Lamborghini Squadra Corse wants to write another chapter in its success story in 2025. The team from Knittelfeld in Austria is fielding two Lamborghini Huracán GT3 EVO2s in the GT World Challenge Europe Powered by AWS.
One car will compete in the Pro Cup and one in the Silver Cup. For the first time since 2019, GRT will be competing in both the Endurance Cup and Sprint Cup, and therefore also has a chance of winning the overall championship, which is made up of points from both individual classifications.
The 2025 GT World Challenge Europe season comprises ten races, five in sprint format and five in endurance format. The highlight of the season will be the CrowdStrike 24 Hours of Spa on the last weekend in June. The Styrian team is working together with strong partners, including LIQUI MOLY and Mountain Wolf.
Grasser Racing can look back on a record packed with numerous highlights in the championship organised by the SRO Motorsports Group. The team won the drivers‘ and team championships in 2017 and achieved the honour again in the Silver Cup in 2023. Last year, the team narrowly missed out on the drivers‘ and team titles in the Endurance Cup. In total, the team has 14 victories, 17 pole positions and 38 podium finishes to its name.
Full focus on the title with three factory drivers
The impressive Lamborghini factory driver duo Luca Engstler and Jordan Pepper compete for GRT in the DTM and now also together in the Sprint Cup of the GT World Challenge Europe. In the Endurance Cup, they will be joined by none other than DTM champion Mirko Bortolotti.
South African Pepper has already claimed two victories, six podium finishes and one pole position in the GT World Challenge Europe. Last season, he finished second in the Endurance Cup with GRT and fifth in the legendary 24-hour race at Spa-Francorchamps – the best Lamborghini result ever achieved at this event.
Engstler, the new member of the Lamborghini factory squad, is no unknown quantity in the GT World Challenge. In 2024, he became champion in the Gold category of the Sprint Cup and sensationally took his first pole position in Hockenheim. He also has a top result to his name in the Endurance Cup: in 2023, he finished third in the 24h of Spa.
Bortolotti has already celebrated numerous successes with GRT in various series such as the DTM and the ADAC GT Masters. In the Blancpain GT Series – the predecessor of the GT World Challenge – the 35-year-old achieved five victories, eleven podium finishes, four fastest laps and his car started from pole position nine times. The Italian’s greatest success came in 2017 with the championship titles overall and in the Endurance Cup – together with GRT.
Jordan Pepper: “2025 is developing incredibly. I’m very proud and happy to be able to compete with GRT again after last year’s very successful season. We narrowly missed out on the championship, so our goal is clear! I am very motivated and even hungrier to win the sprint, endurance and overall championships. Of course, there are some key events like the 24h of Spa. We have shown that we are fast there and to win this race now would be a dream come true!”
Luca Engstler: “I’m super happy to be able to drive in two more championships alongside the DTM with Grasser Racing. My schedule is now really packed – this is exactly what I always dreamed of as a little kid! Many thanks to my partners, Grasser Racing and Lamborghini Squadra Corse for making this possible together. Hopefully, the two commitments in the GT World Challenge and the DTM will benefit from each other – in any case, I will give my all for good results and can hardly wait to finally get started!”
Mirko Bortolotti: “Rejoining GRT Grasser Racing Team in the GT World Challenge Europe Endurance Cup is truly special. Over the past decade, we’ve created unforgettable memories and achieved great success together internationally. I’m grateful to Gottfried, Lamborghini Squadra Corse and all partners for their trust and I can’t wait to see what this season has in store for us.”
High ambitions in the Silver Cup
The GRT Grasser Racing Team supported by Automobili Lamborghini Squadra Corse will also be competing in the Silver Cup with a powerful line-up. Baptiste Moulin, Ivan Ekelchik and Dante Rappange will be fighting for top positions and maybe even titles.
Moulin is a well-known figure in the GT World Challenge Europe. The 25-year-old Belgian contested the entire Endurance Cup season in 2020 and 2022 and all Sprint Cup races in 2023. He took part in the 24h of Spa five times – last year together with GRT.
Team-mate Ekelchik has been successful in various GT4 series since 2023. Last season, the 28-year-old won a race in the ADAC GT4 Germany and finished third in the overall standings thanks to his consistent performances. He also regularly finished in the top 10 in the GT4 European Series.
Rappange will join as the third driver in the Endurance Cup. The 21-year-old already raced in the GT World Challenge Europe Sprint Cup in 2024. The season ended with numerous points in eighth place overall. He also took part in the 24h of Spa and finished fifth in the Bronze Cup.
Baptiste Moulin: “I am really proud and honoured to be competing with Grasser Racing in 2025. We already worked together last year at the 24h of Spa and in the GT World Challenge in Monza. That was a great success and so we have decided to contest the entire season together. We are all determined to score important points for the championship.”
Ivan Ekelchik: “I’m incredibly happy to be part of the GRT driver line-up this year. This season will be a new challenge for me, but I am ready to give my best on and off the track. I would like to thank my partners, supporters and everyone who has been part of my journey. I can’t wait to represent the team on the most famous racetracks in the world.”
Dante Rappange: “I am very happy and excited to continue my journey in motorsport with such a high-profile team as Grasser Racing. I can’t wait for the season to finally start and I am highly motivated to achieve great results together.”
Gottfried Grasser, Team Principal of GRT: “Back to the roots in the GT World Challenge! I’m delighted that we’ll be racing the full season in the Sprint and Endurance Cup again – with two very strong cars in the Pro and Silver categories. With Luca and Jordan for the whole season and Mirko as reinforcement in the endurance races, we clearly want to compete for the title. In Baptiste, we have an old friend in the car who already impressed us with his talent last year. Ivan has also delivered strong performances in various GT4 series. I’m sure that both will be able to have a say in the Sprint Cup with their skills – and with Dante on board, certainly in the Endurance Cup as well. In 2025 we are in a stronger position than we have been for a long time. I am convinced that we can fight on the top and win in all classifications.”
