New face and new look for GRT: Taylor Hagler makes her debut in the ADAC GT Masters

The final piece of the puzzle for the 2024 season is in place. The Grasser Racing Team welcomes another promising newcomer to the ADAC GT Masters in the shape of Taylor Hagler. The US-American is taking on a new challenge in her motorsport career in the highly competitive GT3 racing series at the wheel of the Lamborghini Huracán GT3 EVO2. As team-mate to Jannik Julius-Bernhart, she will drive the #19 GRT entry branded by team partner TGI. In the Endurance Cup of the Fanatec GT World Challenge Europe Powered by AWS, two further strong partners of the Lamborghini Squadra Corse supported outfit will ensure a completely new look. Lamborghini Factory Drivers Christian Engelhart, Marco Mapelli and Franck Perera are set to compete in the colours of MOUNTAIN WOLF and RAVENOL.

With Taylor Hagler, the Austrian team has another rookie in its ranks. The 28-year-old is venturing into professional GT3 racing in Europe in the ADAC GT Masters. Her career began in North America in 2019, where she enjoyed great success in touring car racing in the years that followed. In the 2021 and 2022 seasons, she won the title in the TCR class of the IMSA Michelin Pilot Challenge, competing as a factory driver. Last year, she raced on European soil for the first time. In addition to stints in GT4, her programme also included participation in the legendary 24-hour race at the Nürburgring.

The next chapter will take her to one of the top racing series in the world of GT3 racing with GRT. In the #19 Lamborghini Huracán GT3 EVO2, the Texan and her team-mate Jannik Julius-Bernhart will go racing with the support of TGI. The company's branding is already responsible for the design of Lamborghini Factory Driver Christian Engelhart's car in the DTM. With Hagler and Julius-Bernhart, TGI will play its part in promoting young talent in the ADAC GT Masters in 2024.

In addition to the two high-calibre sprint series, GRT's extensive programme this year also includes the endurance championship of the Fanatec GT World Challenge Europe Powered by AWS. In the Endurance Cup, Christian Engelhart, Marco Mapelli and Franck Perera challenge for the crown of the prestigious championship in a brand new design. MOUNTAIN WOLF will be the main sponsor of the three Lamborghini Factory Drivers' entry, which will also be competing with the support of RAVENOL. The company has been on board as the official lubricant partner of Grasser Racing for the team's successful outings in international GT racing since 2022.

Taylor Hagler: "I am looking forward to joining GRT Grasser Racing Team in the 2024 ADAC GT Masters championship. The motorsport experience and fans in Germany are amazing. It has been a priority of mine to do more racing there and I’m looking to build upon the experience gained in Europe in 2023 and find success in the GT3 category. Gottfried Grasser and GRT have built a powerful program all over the world and I’m excited about the opportunity to develop with them. We can’t wait to get started with GRT, TGI, and Jannik Julius-Bernhart at the test in Hockenheim next month."

Gottfried Grasser, Team Principal of GRT: "We are delighted with our new addition from the USA. Taylor has built up a strong reputation in the States with her performances. She has proven herself in highly competitive championships and is ready for the challenge of the ADAC GT Masters. We know the racing in North America from our own experience and know exactly what matters when switching between continents. It will be a learning year for her and Jannik and we are looking forward to seeing the development of our two rookies. Of course, we are also optimistic about the prospects for our motorsport year. Thanks to our strong partners, we have put together a first-class programme in three of the world's strongest GT3 series. RAVENOL was an integral part of our debut in the DTM and we are very proud to expand our co-operation in the GT World Challenge. With TGI and MOUNTAIN WOLF, two new partnerships have emerged that open up completely new opportunities for us. We are very pleased that TGI, in addition to its involvement in the DTM, is committed to promoting young talent and is on board in the ADAC GT Masters. We feel perfectly positioned and can hardly wait for the season to start."
